We’ve all known at least 1 person in our lives that likes to cause trouble, either the class clown in elementary school or your brother or sister who was an angel when you’re mom was looking, but always pulled your hair when she turned around. If you’ve never known anyone like this, let me introduce you to Rick Vreeland. Rick is an Otisville farmboy. Having grown up on a farm with 3 brothers and sisters, he was constantly roaming the fields and woods looking for someone to agitate or play a prank on. Don’t believe me? Ask Julie.
Julie is Rick’s wife. Having grown up just around the corner, about a mile down the road, they didn’t meet until later, but found that they shared a love of farming and contributing to the community. Now married for 45 years, they’ve been through lots and have worked the farm together since founding in 2007. Rick taking care of the cows and Julie making sure they stay clean and that the calves are well fed and taken care of. Julie has a smile for everyone she meets which helps balance Ricks “get it done” attitude and together they make the perfect pair to run the Lords farm and love sharing their life on the farm with everyone.
